My Goodbyes - 12/21/02

Drops of rain slowly trickle down the window.
Just like my emotions, I've never been so low.
In my darkest hour you sure were there.
It's just too fucken bad you didn't care
The crashing of thunder soothes my nerves,
This life in hell must be what I deserved.
Pretend you could be bothered that's all I need.
I can feel the knife piercing me further indeed.
The power of lightning could take me away.
Maybe I never will live to see another day.
I once feared being forgotten when I died.
Now I realize no one would remember if I tried.
Life has already passed me by, I'm too weak.
So I'm digging myself a hole six feet deep.
I am out of friends and I'm out of hope.
If you want to know what to use, try a rope.
The weight on the gallows came from my shoulders.
Since I hoped you'd care as my corpse got older.
It is time to cross my heart and hope to die.
All this happiness has been a terrible lie.
